I could not install this on my trim router because the size of the bit makes it impossible to access the retainer nut from the top. It is not a flaw with the bit, just a reality. So I tried it on my table. Again, the width of the bit made it so that I had to remove the backstops from my old Craftsman table. I put a card under the bottom face so it would not scrape metal, hence the thin sliver on the scrap piece I tested on.Without the backstops to push against I had to clamp the piece into the slider so it did not get pulled in or kicked out. A more modern table would have a better range on the backstop so this is likely just my problem.Ultimately, the bit gave a decent cut that would not take too much to clean up. If I had not doubled up the card, it probable would have been okay.

I love these router bits. They work great and make nice smooth tongues and grooves. The quality is really good. And working with a router is much easier than setting up a dado stack on the table saw. Would recommend to fellow woodworkers!

These are pretty handy to have. They're a lot easier than setting up a dado blade on my table saw. Cuts great on hardwood and particle board.

This set would probably get 5 stars if it had 1/2" shanks, as I suspect the smaller 1/4" allowed just a bit of vibration. Even so, the results are totally acceptable. The tongue bit's cutting height is exactly 3/4", so if your wood is any thicker, this will leave uncut material. You could use thinner material, such as 5/8" or maybe 1/2".I did a test cut using scrap 3/4" thick pine. The router is a Bosch 2.25 HP variable speed mounted in a table and running at about 18,000 RPM. I set the tongue bit to exactly span the first 3/4" thick piece. The cut was strong and smooth and left just a bit of "wobbly" on the edges of the tongue.I then mounted the slot cutter and set the height to match the tongue in the first piece. I got lucky and it was pretty much perfect on the first try. The slot was very clean with no tear-out at the surface of the slot. The tongue was just a hair too long. There is about 1/32" to 1/64" empty at the bottom of the slot. I have always heard that you leave about 1/16" "for the glue". Go a little light on the glue and you should be fine. The assembled view shows a very nice joint. This was scrap wood. If it had been jointed straight, I'm pretty sure the joint would be almost invisible. I plan to test this when I make my next "glued-up" tabletop or panel.

Yougfin 12 Pieces 1/4" Shank Router BitI've been using router bits since the 70's and for 40 years in my work. This 12 piece set for $17.00 is one heck of a buyI put all of these through there paces in one of my router table router tables running them at 30,000 rpms with white pine and was impressedThe 1/2" roundover bit I ran 95 feet of pine with for a project I was doing, good results. The bearing held up just fine, had to clean a bit of pitch off the bit, but that happens with pine. For a nice varied set of bargain bits you won't beat them

Haven't yet reached the point in my current project to need this set, but I did a couple of test runs so I could review. The set is not high-end (and top-dollar) quality, but works well enough. To avoid tearout and/or chipping, I made several light passes instead of one big pass. Cuts were clean, with no burning and no tearout. Bearings were smooth and with the bits chucked up tight (meaning shank was buried deep in the collet), I didn't suffer any noticeable wobble. For the price, this is a good set to have.
