Holes should NOT align to each other.
It is the left side prongs that should align to the center of the right holes.
Instructions
Prongs might need to be rotated so they can be aligned perfectly to right side holes.

I returned mine because I did not look properly at the picture - I file holders/containers where the entire file fits inside the holder. Reason for my 5-star rating, It is such a good quality product.
