This works perfectly for an Audubon bird clock. Everything fits, and the wiring is easy.

The Youngtown 12888 Quartz Movement with Hour Trigger 7/64 Dial 17/32 Shaft is a perfect fit for my 1998 Singing Bird Clock. After working great for 26 years, the minute hand would stutter and stop. The replacement movement comes with new hands and instructions. The red and black clips in the picture show where the new movement was soldered in; they could have been simply twisted. This is a straight-forward repair.

I got this product to replace a movement in a 20 year old Audobahn Bird clock. It was fairly easy to replace and worked right away. But when we finished putting it together and put it on the wall it would stop. Not sure why as everything looked fine. took it apart again and could not find anything wrong and this time it appears to work ok for now. Time will tell. I don't think it is the movement that is the problem but I can't rule it out yet so I had to take one star away. For now the birds are singing again!

It amazed me that this motor was identical to the one in a 15 year old clock. It was easy to install and had a good assortment of clock hands to choose from.It does help to have wire nuts or a good soldering iron to reattach the new clock wires to the clock components.

I specifically got this unit because I needed the chime function on the hour for a clock I inherited. I couldn't use the hands from the old clock but had several choices with this movement and it all turned out great. Though this clock is more intended to be held in with a nut, it has the identical recesses the original movement had and snapped securely into place. Best yet, the clock works great now!

I bought two units and replaced them on two clocks successfully. It took a bit of working to get the clocks taken apart enough to get the hands off the face, but once completed the only additional difficulty was getting enough length from the initial wires in the clock to reach the solder point for the new mechanism. Wires on the new mechanism were long enough, but the existing wires in the clock were pretty tenuous to get them pulled out enough to reach. Don't forget to bring the clock hands around to make a bird sound before setting the hands on the hour. I had to take my clock face apart in order to get back to the hands again. Obviously that's an install error and not a problem with the clock mechanism.

Used to repair my Harley-Davidson Clock which had died a few years ago.Worked perfectly once I'd got the hands aligned with the chimes, did as the instructions said and set the hands to 12 o'clock when first fitting the movement but found the chimes were out sync to the hands. So took a bit of patience to set up correctly and used the original hands as they fitted the stem.

So for other customers who buy this package: this clock mechanism has 2 blue wires that are the chime trigger to solder to the old trigger wire connections on your chime. See bottom chime item inside of my clock. Then the red (+) wire from your chime must get soldered onto the (+)terminal towards the top so the battery will still fit in later. See new clock mechanism top item of inside of clock. Then the black (-) wire from your chime must get soldered onto the (-)terminal towards the back so battery will fit in.Also use the clock hands from your old clock mechanism as they fit perfectly.

After a 2 week wait I was very pleased that this arrived the day after it was expected. It was extremely easy to install. (Didn't need my husband to do it for me). After having a broken clock sitting at 5 o'clock for the past two years I am extremely happy to have this beautiful piece of furniture back in working order. Thank you thank you
