This is a clever little organizer that can be used in different configurations. However, the "instructions," a tiny paper with almost-unreadable print, are not at all helpful. I came back to this listing, where it clearly shows that you're putting together two separate units. The instructions don't tell you that! I had put one piece on upside down, but it all became clear after looking at the photos in this listing.I recommend this if you want a small organizer for desk or crafts that can be used different ways, but don't depend on the instructions for putting it together - and use an electric screwdriver, not the inadequate one they include.

Wonderful little spacesaver. Perfect on my desktop and doesn't clash with decor. It's sturdy, too. I like that I can customize it for my needs.

I’m delighted with this piece. Obviously the little parts are on the cheap side, but once you’re using it you don’t see them at all. I love the adjustability. Highly recommend

The product arrived in a plain box, and contained 6 pieces of wood, the connectors, and a key. And that was it. While not really needed, instructions would have been a thoughtful touch. There are 6 pieces of wood, and only 3 sizes, so a little reductive reasoning and you'll easily see how to separate the pieces and so put them together... but I had to look at the photo on the product page on Amazon to remember what it was supposed to look like in the end.Once put together, you have two separate-but-equal units that have a 2 different configurations, or that you can use by themselves. The problem was, when I used the units together, one unit was ever so slightly higher than the other, which made it unstable. I "fixed" this by inserting the two units into the middle of a shelving unit I had, and lowering one of the shelves down to the top of these units thereby forcing them to be a little more sturdy/secure. I would not be able to use the units together (and pictured on the product page) without the weight and support of the top shelf pressing down on the units.EDIT: A day or so after posting this review, the seller made an attempt to rectify the issues I had in good faith. I'm adding a star for (from 3 to 4) for the excellent customer service, and will buy from this company again because of it. Full disclosure: I opted the keep the product I had, so no action was taken.

I had high hopes for these shelf’s due to the 4 star rating. I didn’t even assemble because the panels were scuffed and discolored. Also, the color I selected was black. These are clearly dark brown, not black. I purchased two to fit my need, but they are both in the same condition.The box they shipped in was not damaged and had appropriate filling inside to keep product from sliding all over the place. I don’t feel they were damaged in shipping.It’s a real bummer. These would have been perfect for the intended purpose.
