Just bought a used 2012 Ducati Hypermotard and noticed it sounded ‘weak’ when starting. Sure enough, it had a ChromeBattery installed which was about 35cca short.. and the battery was dying. It would start very weak after being on the charger all night. I read these Yuasa’s work great but, being honest, I’ve never filled a battery before, so I was a little apprehensive.I followed the written directions, with one deviation. I removed the tape covering the holes on the battery, removed the acid tubes from the box and removed the black cap from the tubes. I then put the battery on a level surface, took the acid tubes, tipped them upside down and lined up the holes so the tubes’ male filler ports fit down into the battery’s female filler holes, make sure it’s level and press down. I tapped the battery a bit and observed acid from each chamber flowing into the battery. Once the tubes were completely empty (15 mins), I let it sit for one hour with the filler cap off. This was the deviation the written directions didn’t call for but it will extend the life of the battery. I then gently placed the filler cap over the holes and charged it for three hours with my 3a charger. Once charged, I disconnected it, let it sit 30 mins and tested it with a multimeter: it read 13.27 which was terrific. The Hyper fired perfectly the first time and has the right amount of cold cranking amps to ensure it starts the way she should. I’m very impressed with Yuasa and will def be using them again if/when the need arises. For those concerned with filling the battery yourself; don’t be. They make it really simple and it seems to work very well.***UPDATE***A few days after install, I took an 8 hour ride with multiple stops and the battery had zero issues - I'm VERY pleased.

Enough of meaningless statements about how good people feel after spending money on a product! Let's get to the real facts. As an owner of a few Yuasa YUAM6212B YT12B-BS batteries and a battery analyzer, I can share some measurable details. In the four attached pictures, you can see voltage and current graphs of the discharging and charging processes for two batteries. The first battery was used on a motorcycle for slightly less than a year, while the second battery has been in service for over six years. All tests were conducted at reasonable temperatures between 20 and 25 degrees Celsius, with no overheating during the processes. The batteries were fully charged according to the vendor's specifications before the tests. The first battery exceeded capacity claims by over 10% (11.06 Ah) during the discharge test. Judging by the graph, it could probably show even better results, but I stopped the discharge at a high cutoff voltage of 11.5V to avoid stressing it more than necessary. The second battery, after six years of service, still performs reasonably well, with a capacity loss of about 14% (8.62 Ah) from the nominal capacity. I have replaced it with a new battery to avoid any bad surprises. The new battery's performance was even better than that of the first battery, but I don't have the files handy. I might upload them later.

I bought this for a 2010 Triumph America. The part matching algorithm shows this as unsupported, but it's the correct one per the Triumph site for the fuel injected EFI engine. Filling the cells was easy, and on the advice of a friend who is a very knowledgeable motorcycle mechanic, I left the acid in the cells for an hour open to vent before capping. He says this will add at least a year to the battery life. I put the battery on a trickle charger until it was fully charged to 100%. Perfect fit to install on the bike, and after sitting for two years, the bike started on the third attempt with this new battery. After the bike was back up and running, this battery has started on the first try every time, even in temps below 30.

Battery arrived on time and we'll packaged. Followed the directions for the electrolytes; removed seal on battery, removed plastic cap on electrolytes, inverted electrolytes over piercing battery protrusion.Allowed 20 minutes for electrolyte transfer, then capped the battery. I then tested the voltage which read 12.8 volts. I charged the battery for over and hour resulting in a final 13.2 volts.I realized that the battery did not include installation nuts so I re-used the nuts from my old battery. That is something to take into consideration if you buy a battery not as a replacement. I actually need a second battery for another motorcycle so I'll be searching for another vendor for the same battery so that I get fastening nuts.I installed the battery and the bike fired right up.

Changed the battery in a Ducati and this is a perfect fit! The hard part is taking all the parts off to get to it!

I ordered the battery on Sunday evening and it arrived at my door on Tuesday afternoon. It was the lowest price around and the shipping was free. What more could you ask for? Instructions for adding the acid (which was included) was straight forward and idiot proof. After a few hours on the battery charger my bike was good to go! It starts up much better now.
