My stock 99 RAM 2500 4x4 had unreliable front axle engagement. The vacuum system failed, so I tried the cable lock control for center axle disconnect. It worked OK unless the road was rough, then the sliding sleeve disengaged under load when I needed the front axle most. Yukon has the solution. I ordered the stock CAD delete kit. My mechanic installed it for me along with SpynTec locking hub conversion from Geno's Garage and Eaton TrueTrac for my Dana 60 front axle. Now the 4x4 is reliable. The U joints on the Yukon are larger than stock Dodge, you would be ahead to order those from Yukon to start with. Yes, you need to drill new vent hole in differential. Great kit.

I used this kit to put together a Dana 60 to swap under my ram 1500. The kit is pretty easy to install, but the instructions say removing the CAD bearing and seal is an optional step, but it’s definitely required. I’d also recommend replacing the factory CAD bolts when installing the block off plate. I snapped the head off of one with very little torque(not even enough to squish the gasket). However, the seal and axle are great quality.

Poor seal construction, item description is not truthful. Do not attempt without full shop Jack's torch die grinder. Not impressed for the price and headache. If ball joints are not centered axel will bind horribly unless all the cad in the axel is removed
