I love everything about Zebco reels. They are easy to use, intuitive, durable, and an excellent value for the money. My lovely wife caught this nice fish with a 33 micro and Hotcast combo. I have some spinning and baitcasting reels too, but Zebco spincasting reels are always my favorite reel to use. Every single Zebco I use, and I have ten, is a winner and a fish catcher. They never fail to cast, retrieve, and function properly. Every angler should own one! Zebco has transformed me. Instead of fishing I can now concentrate on catching and trying different baits and lures.

For the price, I wasn't expecting a whole lot when I bought this for my wife. And while it does seem to have more plastic parts that the old Zebcos we all grew up with, it seems pretty well made. It spooled just fine, it casts as well as any other spincaster I've used, and it reels in smoothly, just like it should. Definitely a decent little budget friendly reel.

I have used zebco reels for 50 years, I bought 2 of the trigger spin and replaced the plastic bushings with bearings and you have a reel that will last you a very long time. I mainly crappie fish and use 4 pound test line on my reels. You won't be disappointed with this reel.

Casts well with no binding, Easy to use if your beginning fishing and looking for an inexpensive reel. Bought this for use of just dropping my line from the kayak, which the trigger system works well. You can't go wrong buying this.

Mine came feeling horrible so I took it apart and re greased and oiled it. I also had to really crank down the handle and it ended up cracking slightly other then that it worked good after.

My son is autistic and we have recently taken up. Fishing together, he struggled initially with a traditional reel, so I purchased this, he loved it, easy to use, no messing about, he was fishing in no time, I on the other hand struggle to use it, just haven't got the touch, still not sure how to turn on the bite alarm though, my boy has since started to use a traditional reel also but won't be without this one so 2 rods it is lol. Would recommend this to anyone, sturdy, compact, looks great, no messing about, very practical and accurate, great product.
