These patches have come in very handy to repair small tears and reinforce high stress points on our whole range of patio covers for everything from our spa, grill, fire pit, chairs, and so on. If we have a corner that is prone to wearing through, we iron a patch on both sides and then stitch around it for good measure. It's helping our covers last longer than a year or two before the wind takes its toll and we have to buy new ones.

I was looking for a dark brown like in the online image. This is the darkest brown in the pack. My friend thought I stuck a bandaid on my coat.

The very First TIME wearing these Carhartt pants. I ripped a 3" long tear in them! Before washing them. I carefully ironed one of the patches on the inside of the leg. Next, used the tear mender to seal the ends of the threads. So they wouldn't raveling out. They have been washed now at least a dozen times. Still holding great! Not a perfect repair. But acceptable to knock about it.

This is just like the patches from the 1970รขโฌโขs. Stiffer than most modern fabrics so they are noticeable. But, they do the job if you donรขโฌโขt care about how it looks.
