I love this stuff! Nothing compares that I have used, it's priced well and does a better job than anything else out there! I use it in my Pentair DE80 filter that is about 7 years old have purchased this several times in the past and love it!

I haven't had any filter clogging issues so far like others have reported and I used it the whole summer. Nice having to put in so little. Saves time, cost, is nature-friendly, and, most importantly, I'm no longer breathing and getting in my eyes (on windy days) the dust from the cancer and dermatitis-causing earth (D.E.)!

I think this stuff is great. Whether it filters out finer particles than DE i don't know. But is is much easier to carry around and store than the large boxes of DE. I also think this is a good alternative to people who have leaks in their DE filter grids like i do because it leaks out much less than the DE when you recharge the filter. So cleanup after a recharge is much quicker and more manageable with this. But the fiber itself works just as good as the DE making it a great alternative

I was hoping it would work out because it is a lot more convenient. I have a Hayward Ec-50 preflex filter and it wouldn't coat the tentacles it just went through to the pool changed back to regular d.e. and cleared the water back up maybe it will work in other filter brands.

I used this in the filter for an above ground pool. I've used the product in the past and it does a great job.

Make sure you dilute the product slowly and stir in a bucket of water before slowly putting into skimmer so that it doesn't glob together in the skimmer and/or filter. If it globs together you will have to take your filter apart and clear it off the internal elements so filter will continue to work properly. Will make pressure go up a bit.

I doubled the recommended size in my newly-washed and reassembled DE filter system and the water went from greenish-yellow to crystal white within 48 hours.Took off one star because dispensing from a plastic bag was a pain, with the powder constantly blowing off in the wind and getting all over the place. They should use a rectangular box container with a built-in spout to pour out the powder much more effectively (but hey, the mfr / distributors make money by consumers wasting some of the product during use, so I guess there isn't much incentive in providing efficient packaging).

Lighter and easier to work with than normal DE filter sand. A little of this stuff goes a long way. 3lb bag is equivalent to a large bag of DE. Will buy again.
