Old engine block heater was corroded and cord had been ripped. New one fit perfectly.

What a hot steaming pile. Leaks coolant before startup, o-ring is positioned incorrectly and too small for the bore. The element is shaped opposite of installable angle. I had to RTV it in to minimize leaking. Honestly, I was amazed that it even worked at all
