This pack of engineering computation pads has come in very handy.I give tests to my sophomore engineering class which requires them to use their own paper. One pad per test covers the whole class!By supplying my own paper, I avoid students pulling sheets our of notebooks or borrowing paper from others in their group.I feel that the expense to me far outweights the agravation of 8x10 paper or notebook paper with holes on the side!This pack of paper works extremely well for me.

I originally looked on one of the national office supply web sites to replace my exhausted supply of gridded pads. I won't bother to mention how absurdly expensive their 50-sheet individual pads were! (Mind blowing should suffice!) So I tried these pads offered on Amazon. Good deal, with a ridiculously fair price for a package of 5 pads of 100 sheets each. There's only one thing that's truly odd about them; the 5-squares to the inch grid is on the BACK SIDE of the sheet! When I pulled out the first one and used the first sheet (still on the pad), I didn't notice at first, thinking that the grid printing was just very light. But then on closer inspection - after tearing off that first used sheet - I realized that the issue was the back-side printing. Strange! Fortunately that point doesn't affect the usability of these pads, but I thought it worthy of mention for anyone else to whom it may matter. (Also of interest is that there is a printed "border" surrounding the grid area, but that border is on the FRONT side of the page, while the grid itself is on the BACK!) Go figure.

I was quite pleased with these computation pads. The beige color is indeed easier on the eyes, which helps during long hours of drafting and calculations. The paper is thick and durable, meaning my pen doesn't punch through to the next page—a pet peeve of mine with other pads. Plus, they're pre-punched for three-ring binders, which saves me a step. I use them daily for my engineering work, and they've held up nicely. The grid size is perfect for detailed work, and I've found the paper to be smooth and ink-friendly, with no smearing or bleed-through. With five pads in a pack, I'm set for the foreseeable future, and considering the quality, I'm happy with what I paid. They're ideal for anyone who needs a reliable pad for technical drawing or note-taking.

I missed having engineering paper around from my college days so I picked this up. It is beige instead of the green that I grew up with.
