E-drums are awesome for practicing quietly, but the rubber hats just don't have the same feel as the real thing. These hats sound and feel great, and are not much louder than the mesh heads on my e-kit. I play with open-back headphones at moderate volume levels and get a nice mix between the kit and the acoustic sound of these hats. I bought the 20" L80 ride as well and it's just as good.

Great for practice. Pretty good sound, but you hear a lot of stick. To be expected with low volume cymbals. I enjoy playing them. Decent "chick" sound. I added a shaker braclet for a little more sound. Great product!

Amazing. No earplugs required.My only comment is that the open sound is not as loud relative to the fully closed sound, but that's a minor complaint. Also the bell isn't as pronounced but again a minor issue.5 stars for REAL hi-hats that allow much more nuanced playing than ANY electronic hi-hats.

Only half the product arrived. A hi-hat, by definition, consists of a PAIR of cymbals (and this is also how it is described when viewing for purchase). I want a refund!

Exactly what I was looking for! Volume is low but still enough for clean and clear sticking patterns and great open hi hat swoosh sound, which surprised me! Shipped super fast! The hats came Way before the date I was given to receive them! Overall great for my online teaching!
