The box spring arrived safely in dismantled format. I was concerned a little bit at first, but after carefully studying the directions, I was ready to assemble it. Very clever and sturdy design. We used it to replace thicker box spring. This new one lowered the height by several inches, making it much safer for an elderly person to get in and out of bed, which was my goal. Nice job, ZINUS!!

Assembly is quick and easy, it literally snaps together with the plastic brackets. The most time-consuming part was aligning the center rails that do need to be attached with screws (tool is included). I needed to re-tap one of the holes, and for that reason, I am marking off one star. Based on that quality issue, I definitely recommend the quick assembly model to you. Otherwise, it reduced the mattress height as intended so it's all good.

This is the third of this type of box spring I buy. I am unsure why anyone else would buy an traditional wood and spring support any more. This one is really simple and quick to assemble, it weights almost nothing, and it is so easy too manipulate around the room. Highly recommend it.

When used with a Zinus 12 inch mattress on Zinus platform bed frame, the bedd is extremely high. I had to climb up into the bed and get a toll for my kiddos to be able to get in. It also lifts the mattress so high that completely covers the head board. I measured it before I ordered the item but what the fail to mention is their king sized box spring does not lie flat on their king sized bed frame. So it is actually higher than it should be. Also it is about 4 inches too short. The king sized mattress hangs over about 4 inches on the foot of the bed over the king sized mattress. I personally will not be ordering from Zinus again. We went out on a climb and ordered there products from them:Zinus 5 Inch Low Profile Smart Box Spring / Mattress Foundation / Strong Steel structure / Easy assembly required, King: this was delivered late, was too short, and did not fit into the bed frame that is made for the same company and listed as the same size.Zinus Upholstered Square Stitched Platform Bed with Wooden Slats, King: this we are keeping because the thought of returning one more item makes me want to gag. However, it does not look like he picture that advertises the product because I believe they might be using a different mattress thickness and the end of the bed hangs over the frame so it does not fit even when the frame and mattress are from the same company and are the same size supposedly.Zinus Memory Foam 12 Inch Green Tea Mattress, King: They sent the wrong sized mattress at first and it was a day late. Then we had to find a creative way to some how get the mattress into a box after we already opened it and let the air hit it. That was a really crazy Tetris game of patching several boxes together to get it to be sort of in a box. Then after waiting around all day for a USP pick up ( we did not want to miss the UPS delivery person and were not given and ETA) we were told they could not take the mattress back since its dimensions make it a freight item now. I want to make note that during this several day process, I was on the phone with AMAZON reps trying to get inserts and their follow directions. We did get to order the mattress again and this time it came in the correct size but This mattress hangs over the bed frame slightly. I do not believe they took into consideration that the head of the mattress is right up against the head board. The headboard is a bit puffy so its does not lie flat making the bed hang over at the foot of the bed. I want to return this one too but I just can't bring myself to do it. Plus with two jobs and zero time I am just going to use. It is sort of comfortable f you put a soft pillow topper on it.I will not be buying from Zinus again.

Very easy to put together! Works as it's supposed to. Full size doesn't translate to 140X200. It's a bit short, but we have it on top of the flat bed slats to keep in place. Should sell in cm.

I will always buy this type of box spring from now on. A bit of pain to put together. But once you got it. It’s simple. Instructions could be better. However. Very sturdy. I don’t see it breaking like wood. And if you have tight spaces it will always fit in your room !
