You need no technical skills to put the lights to work. Easy to install, install the lights in direct sunlight, and push the on button! The lights are waterproof. The motion sensor works, but not very sensitive, the dusk till dawn option works great, the battery lasts all night even going on in full bright mode a couple of times , each light comes with a remote control.

I installed these on my repair shop in areas I had no wiring too. The only problems I had was I had installed them too low and they didn't have direct sunlight the whole day. I was able to reposition them and they seem to hold up for many hours. The only downside was I want them on and bright all the time but when the battery dies it resets it. Overall I just leave it with the motion detector on and it gets brighter when people pull in my driveway.

Only complaint is one light will not stay on. The other light is working great. I would still recommend this item. Easy install, easy adjustment. Again only complaint is one light doesn't work very well.

Edit. 11.23.23They were both out (dead) when set 3- from max within 5 hours.I have a security cam documenting tonight's function. It was a cloudless day all day and they received over 10 hours of direct sun (no tree or structure shade). No.1 I will call it has failed within the first hour after dusk to "minimum." And still no motion detection. No.2 is currently holding its setting although for full disclosure I set both to 5+ from minimum.---Overall not a bad looking product but the instructions (term loosely used) are horribly lacking.1. The on button on the unit must be pressed - makes sense.2. Then the remote is supposed to be used. There are 3 buttons. 2 hr, 3hr, 4hr. Are these a program mode? How does it work? Is it 2, 3, 4 hours - then dusk-to-dawn with motion detection?Does it repeat each day? Or is it one cycle only and half to be done every night?Pressing "auto" says "radar mode" but both units just flash minimum to maximum a few times then goes dim ... and stays there. No motion detection. How many steps are there in the manual mode?Is it 10%, 50%, 100%? Is it steps of 10% or 20%?The "instructions" say "30% brightness when no motion detected" on one side and 10% 100% on motion then 10%.Can it work on 100% over night? It says can run 12 - 16hrs up to 36hrs in dim mode. OK, which is it? Is it 12 - 16 on 100% and up to 36 on 10% (or 30%) whichever "dim mode" actually is?There's a red light that flashes in daylight when the unit is "on" - does this mean charging? Will it change colour or burn continuously if fully charged?I see no way to verify state of charge. Is it 10% 50%, 100% of charge? Is there a minimum state of charge to get motion detection to work?If you put in manual mode - does it stay or reset after daylight comes?IT IS IMPOSSIBLE TO DETERMINE IF THEY ARE DEFECTIVE IF THEY CAN'T PROVIDE ACCURATE INSTRUCTIONS.

I have been researching and trying carious solar lights for my horse riding arena. Its 70x200 so quite large area. I previotsly purchased two larger lights which were great but much more expensive. I needed about 8 more. I gave these a try and they are nearly as bright as the bigger lights at a much cheaper price. I have since purchased 8 more for around the arena and a few other places that need lights. One came with a broken remote control and sone of the retaining clips on the glass were broken or not in correctly. Messy glue showing over it...but otherwise these suit my purpose. Longevity is yet to be seen though. Ill update if they fall apart.

I now have five of these lights on the farm. They work great, except on days we do not get enough sun. But even on those days I have a problem myself. They cover a large area and the sensor picks you up at twenty to twenty five feet away. My friend just bought two to stop someone from borrowing the gas out of his truck. Since they never seem to return it after they are through with it.

The light worked fine for 3 months and then now it blinks and does not work. There is no support number or any help so that is that.
