We used this in finishing our chicken coop. It helped getting the rough sawn logs ready for paint. With all power tools I be sure to wear eye and ear protection. I think the ear protection was a little overkill with this as it isn't very loud. It's easy to switch out sandpaper pads and I felt comfortable using it the entire time.

I review the ZKH Orbital Sander with a little surprise. I've been a toolhead for many years (got more tools than time to use them!) and I read up on tools when I'm not actually using or organizing them! I'd never heard of ZKH or (as my research found) ZKH Industrial Supply. More on that in a min.I have had a checkered history with random orbital sanders. Many of them seemed to do little, requiring a lot of pressure to get a minimum of effective sanding. Some worked just fine, sanding as expected against the sandpaper grits and allowing for a progressive from rougher (150-200 grit) to fine (400-600) to superfine/polished (10,000-12,000) and handling them all. I've burned out two of these over the years, so always on the hunt for the next/better/best one yet!This sander is the latter, a fine sander that does make easier work of sanding projects. I used on a number of different boards/projects from a half dozen glues up boards (cleaned up the glue to the point you couldn't tell where the join line was!) to a tabletop I was refinishing (stripped stain and lacquer off very effectively) to a project involving delicate kumiko sanding.The sander handled them all well, using a variety of sandpaper from outside; I've very pleased with the sander and recommend it. If you are looking for one, I recommend this one.Last, ZKH is a Chinese MRO consolidator, carrying 32 product lines and 15 million SKUs (that's quite a lot!). They apparently have 5-10 thousand employees, but their website is in need of update. There's a lot of items showing 'Unavailable' on their Amazon facing page. MRO sands for maintenance, repair and operations which means that the sander you are buying may ultimately wind up (with resale) rebranded with another name plastered on, one that might be more familiar. Not sure if you (or I) need to care about this, but if you are not interested in buying products from China, be aware, these do source through China.

I usually only have small projects and generally just use a manual sanding block. Though when I had a few larger projects and the the opportunity to use this, I thought why not. Wow. This handled the job quickly and captured just about all of the sawdust. I was impressed and now look forward to other sanding projects as I know this will make quick work out of it and do a good job. Wish I would have gotten it sooner.
