Installed perfect fit and after one month are still working great. If they fail before the year's up, I'll come back and downgrade a star - otherwise these are working great. P.S. follow yellow note and do not turn the nob or pads of the cleaner or you will mess up the little plasitc gears inside.

Easy to install and has treads, to replace every time as parts wear faster on older treads.

Easy to install. Got roughly 6 months out of them not really sure if it was that long. It started staying in one spot and rocking back and forth. I checked for clogs orSticks effecting it and found none.

My 4 year old MX8 went from getting stuck twice a day to zooming around the pool like a new puppy! Best $45 I've ever spent. Took me ~10 minutes to change out both gear boxes and treads.

The old style left and right gear housings were blue - these are black. Regardless, the right one lasted only two months. Its already spinning in a clockwise circle as the rt gear is stripping trying to move. I have a debris free fool with only light material that ends up on the bottom of the pool. I took everything apart to inspect for any debris in the entire MX 8. Could not find binding anywhere but the internal rt gear is slipping or stripped when moved by itself. The Left one works great (bought together) but the right one for whatever reason is trashed. Two months of use and done - don't know if its the newer style, vendor, or what - extremely disappointed
