After extensive research, I decided on the Zodiac MX8 Elite, and it has exceeded my expectations. One of the standout features is its rotating rubber scrubbing wipers, which do an excellent job of mechanically cleaning the pool surface. I’ve been using it for 10 months. The machine climbs up the walls all the way to the edge, with half of it coming out of the water to scrub the everything, top to bottom.I’ve been impressed with its cleaning results—there’s no need for me to follow up with a manual vacuum. After a day of running it, my pool is spotless, with no sand or grit underfoot. It even handled the aftermath of Hurricane Milton, easily picking up 30-40 leaves from the bottom of the pool. With my lanai screen, I mostly deal with sand and dirt, but this cleaner handles it all.The only minor downside is the need to replace the hose annually. However, if you’re still under warranty, check with the manufacturer before buying a new one. Overall, it’s a five-star pool cleaner that delivers excellent results.

I am glad I spent the extra dollars to buy the MX8 against the advice of pool cleaners and the company who installed my Pebble Tec surface. This surface attracts dirt and algae and sits in those little pebbles. I wanted a strong vacuum cleaner to do the job of 2 pool cleaners!!! Pictures are worth a 1000 words. I thought after cleaning my pool myself for 20 years I have to hire a pool cleaner but MX8 does it all clean, vacuum, climb walls and scrub water edges. It vacuumed all the algae up. Impressive!!

This is our second time with this model. We bought the first one used, and this one new. All in all, this is a really good pool vacuum and is durable, has decent suction, works well, and has good mobility. The design is a bit sensitive and if you maintain it, clean it if it clogs, and replace the feet and movable parts, you should be able to extend the life. Recommend this has a core piece of pool equipment.

This pool cleaner has been doing a great job since January 24. It has little rotating sweepers that help to clean the bottom of the pool, it climbs the walls and travels the main pool area on a regular route. On the first pass in the pool, we saw clean paths on the floor of the pool, so we knew it was doing a good job.Once in a while, it may stop, but it is usually due to big leaves or stems stuck in the intake area. The design of the cleaner makes it easy to locate the problem and remove the debris.Our pool has never been cleaner. I like this little cleaner so much, I named it Bucky.
