My problem was that the filter was leaking around the threads. Had developed a minute leak a while ago. But after fixing a major leak that had developed in last few months, the pressure had returned to normal & caused the filter leak to become 10 fold. Figured I would start with this filter bowl first & then if need be would replace the whole thing. But alas! It worked......no leak!. My guess is that at some point in time while cleaning I had put the bowl on just crooked enough to mess up the threads. So I would say try this first. Can always get the other part if that is messed up.

The old filter bowl had damaged threads and a stretched o-ring, which resulted in a constant leak while in use. The replacement bowl and o-ring fit perfectly and do not leak. Highly recommended!

Had a leaking energy filter bowl... Again. This is a fairly expensive part and I've had to replace about 4 times in the past three years. But, I digress. The party came in perfect condition and worked exactly as prescribed.

This is the first time I bought this to replace the one that broke from not circulating the pool when it got to freezing temperatures and the expansion cracked it. I searched and found this one at a lower price here on Amazon. The first time I purchased one from the pool store they gashed me for $85 which is ridiculous!! Great price and product!!
