I love everything about this water boiler. Perfect when my home area is out of water or on boil notice due to being out all the time. Easy to lift and fill with water, great handle and design is pleasing for the kitchen. My favorite appliance ever. I use it daily and to have hot water on demand when I need it. The little tunes it plays when the water has boiled is pleasant and reminds me of childhood. Quality product. Easy to use and to clean. Excellent value for the money. Oh, and the detachable cord is so great! I wish all products had this!

Nephew told me about this and how nice it is to have hot water for tea readily available, can’t count how many times I’ve let a kettle boil dry, purchased this one and it’s awesome, works perfectly and it’s easy to check the water level, seems well made and we’ve enjoyed having it so far

Love my new water boiler and the easy dispenser. I had a manual water boiler and it was heavy to pick up the carafe and had to keep reheating the water.

This brand is build on reliability. I always go back to this brand. We had a water heater and rice cooker all made by the same company. The water heater lasted over 15 years so I bought the same one. Why would I. It does the job reliably. I get it that it is more expensive but you get what you pay for.

I drink several cups of tea a day, 12 months a year. I just love tea. This 5-liter, made in Japan, hot water kettle gives you hot water at the temperature you want, any time you need it. You can use it for tea, pour-over coffee, instant ramen, or anything else that requires hot water. It's remarkably easy to use, has a safety switch so children won't accidentally burn themselves with hot water, and 4 temperature settings from almost boiling to hot-but-instantly-drinkable. These units come in 3 and 4 liter sizes as well, but as I'm always using hot water, I don't have to refill as often with the 5-liter size. I always use filtered water, which allows me to have to clean the unit only about once a year as there is hardly any calcium buildlup with the filtered water.

Have only been using for 2 days so will update with any issues. I searched hard to get one that was an original made in Japan version and I love that they have 3 identifiers saying “Made in Japanâ€. I boiled it 3 full times before using and there isn’t a plastic smell anymore. Also the cute long song that plays when it’s ready can be changed to a beep or silent, so no complaints there. This is great for working from home and wanting hot beverages immediately.Only small complaint so far is the timer function is not by setting a time but by setting hours ahead. Maybe the more expensive versions have an actual clock-like setting but this will still work for us.

My family previously owned a zojirushi water boiler for over 8 years, sadly it broke down last December. This model recently deceased in price and I am enjoying having hot water at my disposal throughout the day. Perfect for tea, convenience hot water, and reheating eggs. The flow rate is good and the 4L volume is sufficient.

Purchased 2 weeks ago and frequently used in commercial kitchen. Probably refilled 20 times per day.It worked well in the beginning but yesterday some one noticed the water coming from this boiler has brown colour.I opened the boiler and noticed the coating inside is peeled and has rusted dot at the bottom. The container edge has a lightly brown water mark on it.I am not sure how much chemical we have already drunk so far but this is not acceptable for a 250 dollar boiler. Even my non stick pan last longer than this.I never used any thing to clean the inside. All I used is the Zojirushi inner container cleaner sold by Zojirushi. And that’s is only time I clean this boiler before my first use. Jesus Chris I hope I didn’t drink too much chemicals coating.After checking the reviews, looks like this is a pretty common issue for this boiler. Please check this before you buy this. For the health and for the money.
