Although the term "you-get-what-you-pay-for" applies less and less every year as time goes on and overseas purchasing get simpler and simpler, I have to say for the money I paid I'm very content with the filter so far. Lemme qualify my remarks and my rating. First, I am a semi-pro photographer but can only rate equipment from a crude comparison process with limited other things to compare to - but I'm a very fussy person with high expectation. Filter on, definitely slightly softer at 100% crop than with filter off - there I said it. Problem is, I expect to some degree a $200 brand name would negatively impact on the picture quality also. Would a brand name impact less? Perhaps, but these days it is getting hard to tell and I won't buy one to find out. I only use the filter in select small percentage of landscapes, an extra step of sharpening in post is probably enough to attempt slight offset of the quality difference than without the filter. Is it a true 4 stops, Oh man I very much doubt it - more like 3 perhaps? (But then my 2-stop no-name was more like 1 or 1.5 so beh.) Build quality seems more than adequate, threads operate smoothly. Some people commented on quality control - all true. Found filter oddly very dusty and a little daunting to clean off for initial testing, but to save all that money worth the effort. Original package excellent quality, you could probably drive over it with a car and it would survive. Even if the vendor doesn't do an amazing wrap job you should be ok. Will the glass pop-out years down the road, well who knows and frankly for the amount I use it I'm not overly concerned as I feel it's going to be just fine. Sorry all you pixel-pushers, 5 stars from me all things considered. Amateur review, well sure I guess - but if you were making a living on your camera you would not be reading it! :-)

Useful and convenience to use. Just be careful When try to clean it, don't scratch it.
