Seems about 3/4 of an inch to short to work on a compound.

Ordered this for my daughter's recurve bow. There were very little instructions when it came to installation and use, even though it seemed pretty straightforward. It goes on with a single hex bolt & washer, but I was a tad confused because there are two open spaces on this thing, one of which fit neatly around the raised lip of the threaded insert on the bow, while the other, more narrow space sat on top of the raised metal part of the insert. Looked at some pics on the product page and figured it out though. Each part has hex bolts that allow for adjustments to be made - two on the silver arrow rests that allow rotation of each piece, so the width between them can be increased or decreased to an extent; one on the black part that attaches to the bow that allows for lateral movement of the cylindrical part (a few millimeters left or right); and one on the dial - I couldn't decipher a difference anywhere when rotating this knob, just know that it is spring loaded, so hold on to it if you loosen that screw so you don't lose the original set point. If it comes off, it's not too difficult to put back together, you might need some tweezers to put the spring in place though. Overall, this part has a good weight to it, the construction seems solid & it's a heck of a lot better than the plastic adhesive rest that came with the bow. Four stars for quality of construction & decent price (currently around $17). If there are any performance issues discovered after my daughter tests it out, I will be sure to update this review.

I ordered a bow a couple months ago just so I could get into the sport a little. The bow came with 2 little self-adhesive-backed plastic arrow rests. One for the left, one for the right. Well, after the 3rd arrow, the one I was using fell off and hasn't been seen since. A few days later, I saw this on Amazon and ordered it. I want to be able to enjoy archery as I learn and not have to get frustrated with parts falling off...this solved that. This allows me to set the shaft of the arrow in a consistent position without having to worry about it falling off. Between this, and a nock trigger, I should be able to have repetitive results. It was easy to mount and easy to adjust. I just hope it's just as easy to use and master
