Our backflow valve began leaking badly due to #1 valve. I could not see anything wrong with the spring or rubber gasket, but I replaced them both with this kit, using the included lubricant on the rubber gasket, and the leaking stopped. I was able to run my irrigation system and save my grass from turning brown. Am very happy, was easy to fix and much cheaper than the leaking would have been to my water bill.

Worked perfectly to repair the back flow, stop the leak. Definitely would get it again if needed.

Instructions could be a pinch better. It is basically and parts kit with a parts diagram.

Install was easy. Several videos available on you tube to walk you through the process.

This kit contains the parts that usually need replacement and are easy to install. However the two check valves also have replaceable seats that are not included. The seats require a special tool, which I understand costs about $25. So this kit may solve your problem but it won't if the seats are bad

When I hooked up my irrigation system prior to aerating and seeding, I noticed a lot of water flow going through my weeping hole in the relief valve. I had never worked on a backflow before and consulted YouTube. As it turns out I came across this back flow kit and ordered it from Amazon. I pretty much rebuilt (a new backflow term I learned through this process) the entire backflow with the included parts. I removed, cleaned, and replaced the check valves (including poppets), and replaced the diaphragm and plunger and O-ring on the relief valve. I basically used the entire kit to replace everything I could in the backflow. The weeping hole major leak stopped but there were still drops coming out of it ...about the rate of 1 drop per 5 seconds. I think this rebuild kit may work for some depending on the specific issue (check valve #1 issue perhaps). Anything more involved then that this kit may be considered a "band aid" at best. This will probably get me through the season, but I will eventually have to buy a new back flow to completely eliminate the problem. The sum total of part was probably around $5 so at $35 it seems a bit overpriced, and it did not entirely fix my issue.

Parts fit my unit and worked well. Extra parts for other models were not used.
