I was working as a industrial electrician at the time, and happened to be in the shop when a salesman came in with these new concrete anchors. He installed a 1/4" one in the concrete floor underneath an electic hoist, put an eye nut on it and used the hoist to test it to failure. We were all surprised at the large chunk of 40 year old concrete that came out with the anchor. IOW the anchor didn't fail, the concrete floor did. That's one thing you have to worry about with these anchors, if you install one in the wrong place, there is no way that I've found to get it out again. That's why I always drill the hole 1/4" deeper that the length of the anchor, so in case of a mistake I can drive it down beneath the surface of the concrete, and then patch over it. I must have installed hundreds of these in my working career. I just used another 48 from Amazon to anchor the handrails on my concrete steps. The ones that Amazon sells work just as well as the major brand ones from my working days.

I bought the Tapcon concrete screws from Home Depot, what a waste of my time and money, the holes they told me to drill were correct but the screw would only go in 3/4 of the way. These are perfect, and so happy they are stainless steel should last forever.
