These were the size I wanted so risked the poor shipping reviews to get them. They were well packed and arrived in perfect condition. The bottoms are not rough. They are ideal for small amounts of nuts or ice cream. They're exactly what I wanted.

The ramekins were exactly as described. I was looking for a replacement for a broken ramekin in a charcuterie set. I looked at many on line and due to the description I decided to try this one. It matched perfectly the unbroken one in the set.

I use mine to heat up 10 oz canned soup that requires an addition can of water or milk in my microwave.

I am not sure what these are made of, but I am pretty sure they are not porcelain. They feel almost like a plastic composite.I put one in the microwave and it sparked and started a fire. So, that was either from whatever it is made from, or it possibly has lead in it - either way they are dangerous.
