I ordered this product because my steel frame road bike was making an obnoxious squeak at moderate speeds. Upon closer inspection I learned that my front axle needed to be replaced due to being bent and having some of the thread stripped off. Both axles required new bearings as the originals were crushed. The product arrived and I quickly discovered that the axles were too short. However I was able to swap my original front axle out with the back axle that arrived. My back axle was still in good shape and after a little finagling was able to get both sets of bearings installed (the rear right side required bending them a bit to get them past the sprocket but then using pliers I was able to bend it back to original shape. The bike glides like a dream now and is squeak free!!

Department store quick set up bike. Loose get gravel in bearing race. Wear the axle out even. This will fix it back to new. To clean out re-grease, proper tightness go for years more .

Axels are hollow, not soiled steel, and completely unstable; I wouldn't trust them to last long; save your money and a proper soiled steel axle.

I would not recommend. I received the bearing and axle damaged. You can clearly see the bearing is un usable in its current state that's how it showed up also the caps are both dented on front and back axles
