While the description clearly says this is one piece, I wasn't aware that a bugle came without a tuning slide. So this cannot be opened up to clean more easily and you cannot tune it, but the description is accurate and the bugle came in great condition and is still fun to play.

This is a really high-quality horn. I didn’t buy it to play. I used it for a floral funeral arrangement. It worked out beautifully.

My kids put on a high school production of "Arsenic and Old Lace" and this worked fine. It plays like any bugle. The actor playing Teddy got the hang of it in a couple of weeks. The only time it didn't work was when his prosthetic moustache came unglued and interfered with his embouchure!There was bit of a solder bump on the lead pipe I had to grind off.

I took a chance. You get what you pay for. Very difficult to play many notes. Even tried different mouthpieces. Certain notes are so flat it ruins the song.
