Bought to reinstall the exhaust springs on an ATV. Have done this before without this tool and it's a real pain. This tool made it much, much easier. I can see using this wherever I have to stretch a coil spring

If you watch the videos on detaching spring on mower deck, the Toro tool does fine. Getting it back on is the challenge. This tool allows for a balanced pull to get the spring back on, there is also a bend in the shaft that allows you to get under the deck. Made it super easy and quick to release the tension on old belt and then reattached spring on new belt. A couple reviews mention the hook breaking on first to third use; unfortunately, it could be another two to three years before I do my third pull. Can’t comment on that. Got the 10 inch.

This tool worked quite well for me when I used it to replace an idler-pulley spring on my Cub Cadet zero-turn mower. I do wonder how it would stand up under constant use as the end hook seems small/fragile. For the occasional one-off, which is all I need it for, I think it's a pretty good value.

This tool was a great addition to my tool arsenal. Bought specifically to get at a hard to reach spring under the exhaust of my sled. Brand engineers design their equipment without thinking about serviceability. This tool allowed me easy access to remove spring and put back on.

I should have know better for the price. This spring puller broke rite away. Thankful I had safety glasses on. Don’t waste your time or money on this.
