Used these for our marching band season when we had 10' wide domes that had to be disassembled/reassembled every time we performed.Made the entire operation a breeze. Highly recommend, they were easy to spin, and quite durable. We only had a few break, and that was from them slamming down on the hard concrete a few times.

Looks nice but manufacturer's attemt at skimping reduces the usefulness and probably the durability. I purchased the 1/4-20 size,total height is 3/4 inch but the threaded steel insert is only 1/4" thick and sits at.220" from bottom and .280" from top. In order to be able to use them on short studs, I had to mount them on a lathe and shave 1/8" from bottom; the inserts will likely strip out with use.

As a woodworker, I make a fair number of work holding jigs where star knobs like these are often used. I've had no problems with these knobs, and for the price, I'd say you can't go wrong. I haven't had any to strip out... they're comfortable enough in the hand...These are a rock-solid deal.

I needed some star knobs for a few jigs that I am upgrading. These are perfect for my needs. They fit as expected and tighten down very securely. There are no sharp edges, so they don't hurt my hands when tightening. Would buy these again when the time comes...
