I had a couple of wood panels that have to be made removable in my camper van, so that I can get to wiring and plumbing behind them. I installed brass inserts into the framing behind the panels and then use these to hold the panels in place. The fairly large diameter knobs make it easy to install and remove them, much better than just having screws there, and they don't require a tool. Nothing fancy but they do the job well and the price is right.

I've got several parasol bases that take an M8 clamping knob and they go quite rusty in just a few years so replacements are essential as no amount of grease seems to stop the issue.The ones I wanted to replace also have a thin and uncomfortable knob which makes tightening awkward. In comparison these has quite a bit wider and deeper plastic part on the knob which makes them much better. The rear of the knob is also mostly filled so they're stronger as well.The M8 thread matched up and goes in M8 fittings fine, so all told a good replacement.
