I have made dozens of Roman shades over the decades and have always used screw eyes to thread the cords through because the pulleys offered were so bulky. These little pulleys let the cords roll through easily and they are unobtrusive underneath the wood frame at the top of the shade. A 50" wide shade will typically have 5 eyes, so this package will probably do two shades for me. The only thing is that the description says they have a cord lock, which they don't have. I was skeptical, given the price for 10 pulleys, but decided to order them anyway. I was hoping not to have to use a cleat on the side of the window frame, but that is still necessary with these pulleys.

I got these to replace some pulleys on my Roman shades I made years ago. They work well. I’m actually replacing my Roman shades currently and re-doing all of them. I was happy this came in at value pack. I highly recommend them—- they’re pretty sturdy to hold up I heavy shade.
