These thread inserts are supposed to be for M8x1.25 thread. The insert has a too small outer diameter and the pitch is wrong. The one on the left is genuine Helicoil. You can see they are not compatible. Had I put this in my buddy's airplane prop hub, it would have been really bad. I bought the Helicoil kit on Amazon but the inserts available don't work with that kit. Maybe in China, there is a tap that fits this coil, this is not it. Amazon, sell better stuff. I had to go to Mcmaster to get the correct part. Good thing, I was paying attention.

These wire inserts are nearly twice as long as the wire inserts supplied with a separately purchased repair kit. The finished result being twice as many repaired threads to hold the original bolt.
