Simple way to decrease particles getting into your filter, but you need to remind yourself to change these every three or four days or things slow down significantly

You can wash and reuse the quality of the socks are really good! Easy to clean! Saves you money on buying filters! We switched to a sand filter but I use the socks still!!!

I have a 12x24 ft in-ground pool w/ trees behind my fence that I can’t do anything about.I enjoy cleaning my pool (and keeping it clean). The pool skimmer socks are a lifesaver; they catch bugs, pollen, grass, and leaves that fall in the pool.This time of year, I use them on days when it’s not windy and a lot of leaves are not dropping in the pool. On windy days, I take the sock off the basket since I will be emptying leaves from the basket 2-3 times a day. I usually throw the sock away instead of rinsing it out. I will continue to purchase this brand of skimmer socks, I purchase the 100-count pack.

These "socks" fit over the outer edge of the pool skimmer basket and act like catch a lot of stuff that would other wise got to the filter. It captures insects, pollen, seeds small blossom and stuff from the trees and just plain old dirt. You need a basket that does not have a handle which would prevent you from using a sock. Val-Pac make such a basket. This is the best pool product I have purchased.

These work great to extend the life of your shop vacuum filters which just keep getting more and more expensive. When one gets dirty enough, just toss it out and put on a new one.
