I purchased the DDY Quick Fire Starters in an effort to speed up the time between building a fire in our woodstove and when the stove is up to temperature. At first I was using several sticks of kindling to start the stove, but discovered I could just as quickly get a good fire by just using one packet and well seasoned Douglas Fir firewood. No more buckets of kindling needed to start fires in our woodstove.

Brought these along with me on a hunting trip in Idaho. They made fire starting so easy and fast. I used them for 10 days straight. Got stuck in some really nasty weather and needed to stat a warming fire in an area completely covered in snow. If not for a good fire starter I would not have been able to get the wet wood to light. Theses are worth every penny!

We get what we pay for. Inferior product must use 5 times more to get the fire started which ends costing more than a 5 star product. I use firestarters to light my wood burner stove with large pieces of wood eliminating kindling wood
