Living in the mountains, I have a woodburning stove. I use fire starters to help get my fire going. Some days I can get away with two little cubes to start a fire… And some days I need four. The only thing I don’t like about these particular fire starters is when you break them they split in half. It’s almost like they’re not compressed well, or not cut all the way through. Either way they do work.

We use this for starting our wood burning fireplace. It starts exceptionally well and burns long enough to start the wood on fire around it. Great product. The only bad thing is that it is harder to break apart into the bricks to start the fire.

First off fire starter we ordered was 144 you sent 160 they were smaller than the 144 and an crumbly. We had to use them for our wood stove and couldn't send them back. We won't be ordering them anymore. They don't work as well as the 144 which is a little bigger and scored better. If we wasn't in need we would have sent back. Had to use too many at one time therefore we ran out.

Although they light immediately they do not burn for very long. Have to use extra. Not very economical

We use this to start wood stove in living room every day. Just two small squares and this box will last the whole season for us.
