I bought these in April 2024 and today (September 10 2024) when I took them out to clean (yes I clean them @ least twice a month) they were warped and squashing down.

The filters work with my Bullfrog hot tub but they aren't quite the same as the stock ones. The stock ones have a notch in the design to accommodate the spa's filter holder and these do not. They will fit over the holder minimal effort though.

I have a bullfrog R7, which this filter is supposed to fit. It is approximately the same size, not as many pleats, and has an oval side and a round side. This doesn't match what I have, which is a wellspring filter. It does not fit the same, nor filter even close. I would recommend not purchasing this, for the cost, I would have expected better. I will be replacing this as soon as possible with a filter that is far superior, and the only reason it is being used, is because my hot tub was getting the water replaced. Update - you have to crush the filters to sit in where the normal wellspring ones would fit - DO NOT PURCHASE!

The reason the original Wellspring filters have the slit in the bottom of them is because the filter's accordion is almost twice as deep (from outside to inside) as the filters that have the oval hole in the bottom. The Wellspring filters have paper that extends from the outside ring all the way to the smaller inside ring. These blue filters only have paper pleats that extend from the outside of the ring to the longest opening of the oval which cuts the amount of filtration area almost in half. The photo is taken from the oval end looking through to the smaller hole in the top. You can see that the filter paper does not extend al the way to the edge of the top the way it does in a Wellspring filter. I didn't realize that until I was rinsing them for the first time and found the accordion is so diminished.
