These are great. First, this will maintain sanitation in your hot tub - so be sure to dose the water with some chlorine or something before tossing it in. One time I forgot, and the water smelled off until I hit it with chlorine - the Frog won't take fresh water and sanitize it, but it WILL keep water fresh easily!Second, this has sanitizer in it with cyanuric acid - CYA - and that is in most pool/tub related chlorines "dichlors" because pools need it to keep sunlight from burning off the chlorine...hot tubs, though, don't have this problem. If you are just using regular chlorine in your hot tub, the CYA will build up until the chlorine basically doesn't work anymore. It's not fun. Frog has NO CYA and is one of the few options it seems to be like that.We love these especially in the winter as snow storms or brutal winds can derail plans to soak - and sideline opportunities to check the tub's water. I feel better knowing the Frog floater is trickling out chlorine and keeping my tub in good shape, and ready for use.Be sure to shock your tub about once a week - this is really important to help keep the tub water fresh and the Frog doing its work. I toss in a little shock after each tub use as well, it really keeps the water in good shape.Love these cartridges, so convenient!

Very easy to use just drop froggy in and forget about it. Works very well and you don’t have to handle the chemicals.We have been using this system in our hot tub for a year now and it does the trick. Very easy to use.
