Works great on big rods. Velcro should be two-sided to help with smaller rods

These Velcro holders work well enough, but it’s hard to thread them through the buckle and twist them with one hand when you are holding your fishing rod with the other. They also have Velcro and the attaching fabric on opposite sides, which means you have to twist them in place. My old Velcro holders that were just one simple strip worked much better. The old ones also had a slot that would fit over a lure’s hooks and keep them from tangling. I think I’ll look for those on Amazon next time.

This belt is does not hold the fihsing rods together....will not buy it.
