I don't think these will last as long as the name brand versions. But for the price of two of them you can get 10 of these. I normally use the cupped twisted wire ones but on occasion I do use the other styles. But I never buy them simply because of the price vs how much I would use them. With this kit I have lots of options. In fact I now have enough so I have some in my shop to use with my cordless grinder and some in my garage to use with my heavy duty corded grinder. As far as actual use goes, I couldn't tell the difference. I've had some that the wires break off while in use, I didn't have that happen. They stripped paint and rust just as fast as the other one I currently have. Over all if I didn't tell you I doubt that you would know that you were using a budget wheel.

These wire grinders are a great set that covers more situations of removing surface matter than I will ever face. I tested stripping paint and iron and copper oxides, and with a light touch i was surprised how gently (but completely) the copper was cleaned. The brushes come in a few different configurations of angle and twisting, someone more experienced than I could make optimal choices. These brushes will stab you in the fingers given the slightest opportunity. They are really persistent at it. But, thumbs up.

Nice set with three styles of wire wheel that screws right on the end of a grinder. Great for stripping paint, rust and undercoating on old cars or other metal items. Oddly each is wrapped in thin plastic bags that get caught on them and do nothing to protect your hands. Use eye protection too for flying wires.

I tried the twisted cone on a heavily rusted trailer frame. It easily removes the surface rust, and with some pressure it does an ok job on the deeper rust. I’m currently using the non-twisted wire brushes to remove termite tracks, frass, and damage on studs in the old garage. The flat, round brush does the best job on cleaning up the studs. I’m happy with the result. Once cleaned, I’ll sister new studs and retreat the assembly. The termites have been gone for years. The brushes do throw a few wires during use, but all wire brushes do. I always wear eye protection. These work well, and are a good value.

Nice set of wire wheels. Fits fine, and does as designed. Not much else to say about these, they don't break the bank and do a great job.

I ordered these wire wheels for my die grinder. I wanted to use them for stripping rust and paint. These wheels work well. Please be advised that the wires are quite stiff, making these wheels cut very aggressively. While this will get the job done quickly, it may cut deeper than anticipated, so be careful. If you need stiff wire wheels to quickly strip metal surfaces, then I think these will work well. Five stars.

My fiancé is a welder by trade but also dabbles with metal work at home for fun or to help friends and family who need something welded. These wire wheels work great for his needs.
