Amazing product! I bought this to crochet on an 11 hour flight and it didn’t disappoint! It’s definitely a bit harder to use with darker yarn but it’s not impossible. I was able to easily crochet and not bother anyone because the light is bright enough for you, but not bright enough to disturb those around you. The battery also lasted through two 11 hour flights and two 5 hour flights. I haven’t had to charge it yet.Despite it being a bit harder to use in the dark with dark colored yarn, I found that this actually makes working with that yarn so much easier during daylight! I can clearly see my stitches with black yarn now!I even switched to using this hook as my regular hook because the handle stopped my wrist from popping and made it so much easier to crochet pain free.I will say, if your hook is catching on the yarn, just file the tip a bit. I found that the clear bit of the hook was a bit sharp and would snag on the yarn causing it to come apart. It’s nothing a little bit of filing didn’t fix though.100% recommend this hook! Especially since you get so many sizes in one.

I bought this set of lighted interchangeable crochet hooks specifically to work with dark, hard to see yarns. The price was right and it was important that the unit was rechargeable. I don't currently have any extremely dark yarns, but put the set through its paces in very dim lighting. The brightest setting is VERY bright, and the lower setting was perfectly adequate to see the stitches clearly. The mechanism for locking the hook heads in place seems a bit delicate, but I think if treated gently it should hold up all right. The hook heads, being plastic, behave like any other plastic hooks -- they squeak with some yarns, tight crocheting can cause the smaller size hooks to break, and they can sometimes have rough edges (gently sand with an emery board). I wouldn't have bought this set for everyday crocheting, but I think it's perfect for what I need, enough light to see dark and difficult yarns. Worthwhile purchase!

Gave as gifts, one worked perfect the other the needle head wouldn't stay in to change the needle size.

I wasn’t really expecting much when I ordered it. It was an impulse buy. I saw it while constantly scrolling right on the bottom of the page I was on. I liked the idea of it and thought it could be pretty darn useful if the item page was true. It Seriously exceeded my expectations and I have to say, it is pretty freaking awesome definitely worth having. I actually like it way more than I thought I would. The grip is really comfortable to hold, the 2 different light settings are a lot brighter than I thought they would be and it holds a charge for a good amount of time. I use it more than most of my other hooks now. I have only charged it once, the day I got. And it hasn’t dimmed at all. Plus it’s honestly just a nice hook to work with. It works well. The only thing that could be an issue is that it seems like you could break it fairly easy just by twisting it too hard when putting a hook on. It is just light plastic so don’t crank on it super hard and you should be good.

This would have gotten five stars from me, but it broke. I've had it a year.Absolutely love it. Love the light. Love that it is rechargeable. The most comfortable crochet needle I have ever used. But the handle is made from plastic and did not hold up for as long as I would have liked. I crochet a lot. This was perfect. I knew it was not going to last. It was just a matter of when it was going to break. Make it sturdy and I will definitely purchase again.

This lighted crochet hook is JUNK. I wish that I had transportation to be able to return it because I would in a heartbeat. I purchased this hook, in hopes that it would make it easier to crochet with black yarn. The concept is great, however the quality is not. The clear hooks that go into the handle are very flexible and bend. This made me nervous that they would eventually break or snap in half. I didn’t even make it far enough to see how the hooks held up because after just two uses, the handle came apart and split at the opening where the hooks go in. So now no hooks will stay inside of the handle. Extremely disappointed. I was able to make two rose petals before it broke, rendering it useless. As a single mom on a fixed income, it’s rare that I treat myself to anything and this was a lot of money for me to waste :( Do yourself a favor and invest in a quality lighted hook. Happy crocheting!
