The sink drain in my remodeled bathroom is a piece of 1-1/2" ABS pipe with a fitting glued to the end of it sticking out of my beautiful tile wall. I needed something to trim it out, and these appeared in my Amazon search.The object is a white, flexible plastic ring that's got a weak spot molded into it in case you need a split ring to solve your problem. You bend the ring a little to break the weak spot, put a little bit of construction adhesive in the back (I use Sikabond) to keep it stuck to the wall, work it over the pipe and press it against the wall. Simple and easy, and it dresses up the tile nicely.
