Used this to retap a hole where the throttle cable attatches onto an alpha 1 gen 1. Exactly what I needed and didn't crack the motor.

I needed to thread a hole to match the threads on the brass tubing used in my lamp. This is the right tap for that purpose. It works well.

From a technical point of view it is a three flute tap in excellent condition, high speed steel. The price is fair considering this size is hard to find.The problem was I had to travel six miles to my post office and sign for the package. I received a card in the mail saying I had a week to go down and get it or they would send it back. I had to show I.D. I get little packages delivered to me all the time. The whole package was no larger than a pulp fiction novel. I don't understand why it could not have just been mailed to me.I have learned the error of my ways. I will not buy from the hardware store that sold it to me again, apparently they don't want me to buy their stuff.

This Straight HSS Pipe Tap works well for my liquid tight box connectors that have Straight Threads. This is a good Tap and does what I want it to do.

I ordered this item because of the longer shaft length. Most tapes this size are shorter. I received this item sooner than expected.. very happy with the purchase

Very strong and accurate tap, no issues with threads spinning, etc! I used this to cut a pendant light rod to custom length and add threads to connect to other rods! Came out perfect !
