These may not replace other ear protection that I have and use on site but they are great to have in the bags, truck, or in the trailer for those days when you forget the other ones or need some to give out to the guys on site that are always forgetting their ears. I've used so many of this style over the years and for what they are they are good. I like these are individually wrapped, keeping them clean, dry, and dust-free until use. Cord is fine, long enough to stay around your neck or head. Good $/unit. Overall I recommend these.

I really like this style of ear pro since it is quick to put in and manage due to its string. There is no need to fumble around with compressing foam or tugging on your ears to get a good seal. It's just simply sticking them in.I took a star off since most of the plugs were partially flattened due to its poor packaging. This reduces the quality of the seal in your ear and offers reduced protection.

These handy silicone earplugs are great for keeping on hand for noisy situations. Because they’re individually wrapped, they can easily be stashed in a glove compartment, pocket, or purse to use on the go. They effectively reduce outside noise by 25 dB—they definitely muffled the sound of the TV in the next room and I could barely hear someone talking next to me. They’re very comfortable silicone and the handles are easy to grip. They fit my ears perfectly and the string is long enough to comfortably hang around my neck to keep them from getting lost. The high vis colors are great too. It’s a fantastic deal, especially with them being washable and reusable. I don’t think I’d use them for concerts because they’re a little too effective at blocking sound, but they’ll be great for the shooting range, mowing, and other noisy situations.

Basics:- Not easy to get a tight seal in the ear canal- Movement on cord can cause earplugs to loosen- Does not provide "NRR 25db-28db noise cancelling"- My experience suggests about NNR 22dB noise reduction, when properly fitted- Not safe for loud noises- Especially not safe for shooting range- Gun shots produce 120-180 dB and are within inches of the ear- Shooting ranges are full of repetitive percussions- Not Noise Cancelling, only electronic ear buds/plugs and headphones/mufflers can produce Noise CancellingWant to know more? Here is the Definitive Ear Protection Review. Grab a cup of joe, this is a long one:Sellers make outrageous claims for hearing protectors, and reviewers give uneducated opinions. That's dangerous. Hey folks, we're talking about your hearing or your child's hearing. Ask me about hearing loss, I know it too well! These earplugs do not provide adequate protection from noise. In that regard, they are not safe and may lure people into thinking they are protected from hearing damage and loss when they are not. They are not 25-28 dB noise reduction.I have used many hearing protection devices over the years and have a good working understanding about them. Presently I use the 3M Classic foam earplugs rated at NRR 29 dB and the 3M Peltor X5 earmuffs rated at NRR 31dB. When I wear them together, I presume I am getting a very high overall reduction. 3M independently tests and publishes the decibel noise reduction for their products. And I ALWAYS wear them properly fitted.Decibels are a measurement of sound level. But unlike temperature scales where values are measured arithmetically, an increase of 10 dB indicates an increase of 10 times as great. So, a sound of 90 dB is actually 10 times as loud as a sound of 80 dB. Thus, the importance of hearing protection.I suspect only a few sellers clinically test their products in controlled laboratory settings as does 3M. Basically, subjects are played a series of sounds in a controlled environment and their responses are recorded. Then they are fitted with the hearing protectors, and the test is repeated. Averages are made of the reduction of sounds at different frequencies levels (called attenuation) to determine a Noise Reduction Rating (NRR). NRR is the American system. SNR is the European system and is 3-5 dB higher than NRR.But, if ear protectors are not properly fitted and worn, they will not produce the desired 'real world' attenuation. Even SMALL cracks or openings allow undesirable levels of sound. If earplugs are simply pushed into the ear, they have little effectiveness. Visit reputable sites to learn about the anatomy of the ear canal. To get optimum noise reduction, earplugs must be inserted into the ear canal and manipulated until an airtight seal is formed. You can feel the suction happen. This may require turning or twisting or even drawing back on the plug. Lift up on the top of the ear when inserting them to help open entry to the ear canal. To remove, again lift up on the top of the ear and gently break the seal before removing.Hearing loss and tinnitus (ringing in the ears) is mostly a progressive process of accumulated noise damage over years of exposure. It is hard at times to avoid noise, but if you can effectively control it, you can greatly reduce the likelihood of hearing damage. Error on the side of caution. How can you be sure earplugs are properly inserted? Aside from the feeling of suction, you can hear your footsteps as you walk. And before inserting, make a noise like rapping on a desk and remember the noise level. Then insert the plugs and test again and adjust the plugs until the level is at its absolute lowest. Depending on the earplug, you may barely hear the sound. That's what you want.I tested these Dapiton plugs against the 3M Classics and Peltor X5, plus the best performing silicone earplugs I have reviewed for Amazon Vine, in actual use. Here is the ranking:1. 3M Peltor X5 (tested at 31 dB NRR)2. Generic brand silicone earplugs3. 3M Classics (tested at 29 dB NRR)4. DapitonNot only did Dapiton earplugs place 4th, but they were noticeably less effective because their design is difficult to properly SEAL to the ear canal. The seller rates them at NNR 25-28 dB. Under average use, in my opinion, they are NRR 22 or less when properly sealed. As well, they are difficult to insert and manipulate because of the oval shape and three level tip. (Please note, even though the opening to the ear canal is oval, plugs must he maneuvered to make a seal. Pushing these plugs deep into the ear canal could possibly produce damage.)If you want to protect your ears and your hearing, these will not do the job. If you want to block out some noise just to be quieter, a piece of rolled up tissue will do as well. So, for me, it's 1 Star, and that is generous.

Good quality “backup†ear protection. Perfect for extra safety under your regular muffs or for your guest who forget their ear protection.

First, I want to mention that I received this product for evaluation. I planned to use the 12 Pairs Quality Corded Silicone Ear Plugs to protect my and my husband's when we are working with noisy power tools. I expect that they are well made and work. This product has met all of my expectations, and the quality is great. Great earplugs! They fit well and are comfortable. The noise level is greatly reduced while still allows us to have a conversation. These are great for working in a noisy workshop.

The ear plugs are very nice! They fit well, block a lot of sound and yet I can still hear conversations near me. I like the cord connecting them, it makes it harder to lose one of the set! I like the fit better than the standard foam earplugs, those always make my ears a little sore. These don't apply much pressure to the inside of your ears so the comfort factor is high. These are def going in my purse!

Fit in an adult is decent, I can say that with very loud noise, they prevent ringing in my ears.
