I bought these as a joke for a friend after her daughters favorite toy (recorder) went missing. These were cheap, included a bunch, and all seemed to work just fine. They were smaller than expected, but overall were completely fine for what they were used for. Would make a great addition to a kids birthday goodie bag, or would be great for a toddler music class activity.

I got these to put in goodie bags to give out at a 4 year old’s birthday party. They’re tiny, about as long as a pencil, and to cover each hole individually, you’d need tiny toddler-sized fingers. Which is perfect, because I’m excited to see and hear tiny children forming a band with tiny recorders and playing all at once. It will be a beautiful cacophony!!And of course these aren’t real recorders. The heading for the product is absolutely ridiculous. These aren’t soprano recorders and they aren’t for beginning students or anyone who wants to play any kind of song with defined notes, no matter how simple. They’re for toddlers who want to make noise. They’re whistles in the shape of recorders really, with tiny loops on the back so you can put a cord through it and the kids can wear them like necklaces. And I love them!
