Used it in replacing cv joints, it was easy to take out the old one using these tools, if you work on your car a lot I recommend this .

This set comes with one wedge and one spacer. The prongs are each are 2-inches apart and fit around the shaft of the axle while pressing on the inner CV joint housing. The wedge is useful for driving the axle out of the gearbox. I suppose that the spacer would be useful in situations where there is a larger gap between the gearbox and the CV joint housing, or it could be used as a prybar if there is sufficient room to get the spacer between the axle and the gearbox housing.The entire width of the forks is almost 3-inches (2" gap + 1/2" bar material on each prong). So it requires clearance of 3" to use for removing the CV axle. In my case, the gearbox housing has additional support structure built around the axle attachment which interfered with the use of this popper kit. So if you're purchasing for a specific use, ensure that the side of the gearbox housing where the axle inserts has sufficient clearance for using this kit.The bar material is 1/2" thick, so it is very strong for driving out a stuck axle. The handle is about 10-1/2" long so, again, needs plenty of room below the vehicle to use. The edges of the bars are somewhat sharp - not enough to cut your hand, but enough to leave gouges on the CV joint and gearbox housings. So ensure that you are not going to need to reuse the axle once it is removed with these tools.Strong and designed specifically for removal of CV axles, this is a handy set to add to the toolbox, so long as there is sufficient clearance for using them.

The tool is functional and works as designed IF you have a straight forward job of pulling the axle. I was helping a friend replace the left axle on a 1999 Odyssey and could not get it to budge, finally used a 1" steel pipe as a cheater bar and was able to get the axle out. The force used bent the tool handle slightly but it did the job

Not gonna lie I didn't have to use them because my passenger CV axle was already basically hanging out of my front different on my xterra, but these have pry bars would have fit perfect and are very heavy duty. Too bad they can't help you get them into the diff splines that part of the job was ridiculously hard good luck.

This worked for our use. It made removing the CV axle much easier. The tool is well made and worked fine. You use the angled fork first and then the square tipped fork second if you need to. I didn't have to use the second one on the first CV as it popped out just using the angled fork. I highly recommend this set to speed up the job of replacing your CV axles.

I used these tools to repair the front end of my truck a few weeks ago and they worked great. It made getting the axle loose a lot easier and saved me a lot of time and frustration. They are well made and will be useful for future repairs.
