Working great it’s easy to repair the transmission modules with this kit there’s even two or three great videos on YouTube by DIY’s to help you get it done the most difficult time consuming part is getting the transmission control module off the Cadillac SRX and all the stuff you have to remove

2010 Cadillac SRX that wouldn't shift into 3rd gear. Used this kit to replace those plastic discs inside the TCM and i still cannot believe it completely fixed the issue. It's a tricky area to work in to remove the TCM, but i was able to do it in my garage in about a day. Well worth it for a repair that a shop would charge >$600 for.

So happy that This kit Fixed 1-2 shift flare on my 07 Yukon with 6l80e.It sure beats buying a new TECM or a whole new transmission. It took a few special sockets to drop the valve body and pull off tecm to rebuild. One socket was a “female torx plus 12†, and I think a couple other more common sizes. It took a few tries installing the new seals but we got it done without messing any up.I wouldn’t recommend trying to DIY this unless you have some prior auto experience, because this does take a slightly higher skill level than some other repairs.YouTube was very helpful with directions on how to replace, with Lots of videos out there on this exact repair. If you took this kit to an auto shop they would charge you several hours to do this repair.Probably only a transmission specialist will know about this repair and be willing to do it. I work at a general repair auto shop, where we do all kinds of auto repair including transmission repair, but no one I work with has heard of this kit. Every one told me it needs a tecm. It took me personally about 2-3 hours to installThis kit can fix all kind of issues with 6l80, and other transmissions. It’s known to fix shift flares, hard shifts, transmission fluid pressure switch voltage codes, etc.basically anything that could be TECM related on a 6l80e, I would try this kit before replacing any bigger or more expensive parts.

The included tools definitely helped, but the included seals did not fit reused old seals they had no damage and replaced the cracked laminated disks with the new ones from the kit.4 stars because of seal fitmentGot the dang 6L80e shifting smooth again 💪

It worked for my 2013 Yukon MYC 6 speed Transmission. Sorry did not take more pictures of it disassembled, but I did replace the pressure switches with this kit and it worked great. I am a GM certified Master Technician and just rebuilt this because I took the engine out and rebuilt that. Vehicle had not codes before disassembly and none after rebuild, But one of the pressure switches almost had a perfect hole worn through. It was getting time. Everything wears out depending on how its used. Transmissions have clutches, pistons, rubber seals, and will need replacement eventually.

Bought this to use based on a video from the YepThatsIt YT channel. My truck has a shudder from a stop and a hard shift into 3rd and 5th gear. I also sometimes got a delay into 3rd or 5th gear. Paired this kit with an ACDelco seal kit 24238925. That's all the rubber seals except the pan seal involved in removing and re-installing the TCM. The kit here fit perfectly in the transmission. I had 2 torn orange plastic disks and the 1st one was black with crud so I'm sure that wasn't helping anything. After install of the kit it's been 3 days and a hundred or so miles and everything is working much much better now. The tools worked great, I recommend getting a kit of seal picks too. An All Data subscription can walk you through the tightening order and spec for all the bolts during reassembly.

After two weeks, circuit one is malfunctioning. I suspected this would happen as the seals to protect and keep the plastic in place were near impossible to install with the tool. So now I have to look for an OEM replacement if possible and hopefully a better tool. Save yourself the trouble and spare your transmission

This repair kit is hard to install, and would be nice if it had a few more round disks to make up for the ones you will destroy while trying to figure out how to use it. But one you figure it out, while still not easy, how do you argue with a successful repair? After all, if it was easy, it wouldn't be a gm product needing the fix. It solved the problem.... now onto the other never ending list of breaking stuff on this car!
