Bought this to take a flag to a music festival. Easily retractable. The only thing that’s whatever about it are the clips for the flag. The bottom clip always seems to slide up so I had to adjust it every now and then but honestly it’s great for the price and gets the job done.

It was nice while it lasted.A.) It’s not very durable though and it’s now broken. B.) I wish there was a way to make it stay at a certain length instead it’s easily changed by pushing it down or pulling it up.C.) It loosened up very quickly BUT TO BE FAIR it got A LOT OF USE in the short time I used it. It wasn’t terribly expensive butD.) I do think it was more the quality of a $4 or $5 max product. I wouldn’t have spent more than $5 on it if I’d known before I bought it.•••Because of the amount I used it I’m giving it a 4 and also because I do not know how much things like this cost on average. And I don’t want to be unfair. •••

The blue pole had a large rip in the foam handle when I opened up the package. I was surprised to find this as each was packaged separately in individual bags, and then together in another bag. Not worth the hassle returning considering the price. Besides that they seem to work ok. Just make sure you use a thin fabric flag if you plan on waving it around. It’s tougher than it looks, but any heavier fabric and it would probably snap.

Cheap. Effective. A great buy. One tip (YMMV) - I found the metal clips to be initially too tight. But prying them open a tiny bit with a table knife (or a screwdriver) fixed the issue. I definitely recommend these - they make it possible for just one person to hold a 3 x 4 banner (with a bit of juggling.) :)

This was exactly what I was trying to find. I attached it to one of my political signs with ease and it held up in a heavy wind. Whould definitely buy again.

The metal triangles that hold the flag clips are very fragile and broke immediately rendering this item useless. Returned.

The perfect compact flagpole for normal carrying use for several hours. It firmly supports a 3'x5' flag. There is a slight bow when handling a 3'x5' flag and I decided to put it to the test and hung a flag at a 45 degree angle for 10 hours 1 day. Afterwards it collapsed and telescoped in and out as normal with no issues. I wouldn't expect that to happen if using it day after day like that, and that's not the purpose of an $8 flagpole. But for normal carrying purposes, this flagpole is lightweight and plenty sturdy. Very happy with my purchase that I bought another one.
