Old 12 volt incondescente burned out, this is a great low power usage replacement. Even better, the colors are great. The remote only works at the pool standing above the light.

I really love this brand of pool light. It has a very high brightness level and excellent durability. I bought my first one five years ago and have since installed it in four other pools, all of which have worked perfectly.

I received this in mid- November 2024 and installed it about a week later. The light worked fine with the remote for about a week. Then the remote stopped working but I was able to change the colors by turning the switch on and off. A little troublesome since you have to turn it on and off numerous times to get to the color or mode you want. But i could live with it. Tonight (New Years Eve), we are having friends over so I turned the light on (we live in Florida so we're outside a lot). It worked fine for about 20 minutes, then it simply stopped working completely. So a $50 light lasted about 45 days. Not only that, but each time you change the bulb, you have to change the gasket at a cost of $20 each. So in reality, it cost me $70 and when I wanted to use it while entertaining, it stopped working. Very disappointing! ☹ï¸

Good value for the money and does what it says it will. The remote and functions could be a bit better. The remote takes an odd battery that had to be special ordered. There are buttons for different modes, but you are stuck with what they have preprogrammed. Yellows and reds are there, but don't really look great. The white, cyan, blue all look good and wish there was something that would scroll though those colors gradually while skipping the colors that aren't as pleasing. Trying to use the switch to control the light color was temperamental, and I couldn't get it to work consistently. Fit and fishish are spot on making this bulb an easy replacement. There is adjustment via the remote for brightness, but I don't see anyone needing to use the dimming function. Brightness is adequate, but could be brighter.

Like many, the thought of replacing my pool light was daunting. Nevertheless, I researched on you tube, bought the light, gasket, and silicone on Amazon and tackled the job. This light is awesome. Its multitude of lighting schemes makes it easy to change up. All for less than $100!!
