This kit has what is needed to replace a leaking seal between the air conditioner and the roof. There are plenty of instructional videos on how to replace the gasket. I am going to use this kit after the roof on our RV is re-sealed. It appears to be a quality item.

This seal seems to be higher quality than the one I took off, it is made of one piece and doesn't have joints at the corners. I was able to cut the leveling strip with kitchen shears and replace pads that were missing from my air conditioner and prevent bolt heads on the underside from tearing into the roof. It may be a bit thinner than the one that was on previously...or maybe the unit was just never torqued to spec.Installation tips:1) Check that you actually need a new seal first. The old seal was fine on my unit, one of the mounting bolts was just loose resulting in a leak; before starting to change this I assumed it had a 20 year old seal causing the leak, but it looks like the previous owner must have changed it at some point. I hadn't checked the bolts prior to getting the gasket since I needed to buy a square screwdriver set to remove the access panel (the recesses were too tight to fit a screwdriver with the multi tip in there).2) To clean off the old gasket a putty knife was the best tool for scraping, then Goo Gone to remove the old adhesive, and rubbing alcohol to clean everything prior to adhering the new one.3) Loctite. I put some blue loctite on the bolts so hopefully none vibrate loose again.4) Reinforcement. One of the mounting bolts bent the mounting tab on the underside of the AC as I tightened it; this happened at about 30 inch-pounds (yes, I was using a 1/4" torque wrench set to inch-pounds, not ft-lbs, the spec I found online was 40-50 inch-lbs). I wish I had used another piece of metal to reinforce the mounting bracket, or at least a fender washer. I tightened all the bolts to 20 inch-lbs, then 35, finally 40 (went up to 45 on one and backed off the opposite a tiny bit to level the unit).
