This was obviously CNC cut, and very well. It looks great. Although, they obviously never bother to make sure they got all the specs right. The recesses for the screws aren't deep enough, so the mounting screws stick out past he plate. Also, the recess for a router bushing is WAY too big. Simply checking the first part and making a couple minor adjustments would have made this thing perfect, but apparently they really couldn't afford that extra couple of minutes and figured they were worth making completely useless parts.

The guide bushing does not fit snug. The hole should be snug to keep the bushing from moving any at all. Now I have to find a way to make it snug enough to use.

Something I could have made in my garage if I had had some 1/4 inch clear plastic and more time. Was in a rush to complete a project that required a bushing. Got this next day. Had to modify 2 screw mounting holes due to poor alignment. Bushing hole diameter is to big and wasn't cut deep enough for it to sit flush. Used a 1 3/8 forstner bit to center and cut the hole to the proper depth and diameter. Properly centers the bushing now.

Unfortunately, this product is unusable for its main intended purpose - the hole for the guide bushing is too large, which will cause the bushing to move and not guide the router precisely.Screw holes seem to line up just fine and screws actually seat beneath the surface, so it might be usable as just a simple 4" round base.

The base plate recess for the guide busing fits loose and makes it hard to keep centered when tightening. the plate does not use Porter cable standard. Don't buy its total junk if you need to use an offset bushing for a template.
