Works as well as any other straight guide on the market. But the designers of the router created an opportunity that the guide producers left unfulfilled...There are two vertical notches on the fixed base where the straight guide connects to it.If the straight guide had matching protrusions, the guide would have been perfect.Instead, the end of the guide is just a flat piece of metal that slides around all too easily, unless you tighten the know REALLY hard--which is hard to do with a thumb knob. Meanwhile, ALL of the pictures are careful NOT to show the side where the protrusions could have been...

One of these came with the new router so I wasted my money. I didn't notice but, it was described in the product details.All of that aside; It is simple but quite functional and useful.

This works OK with light pressure but if holding the project tight against the "fence" the part with the guide fence on it can bend down slightly and change the distance between the fence and the cutter bit.

Works well on my router & doesn’t move around like the cheaper versions, also well made I would add.
